Medicare Part D is the coverage for your prescription drugs. As your health changes, so may the types of medications you require. It is very important that you review your Part D coverage to assure that your plan covers the drugs you actually are taking.
Some Medicare beneficiaries are discovering that the pharmacy that is most convenient is no longer participating in your Part D plan. The Part D plan may still cover your needed medications, but it is no longer convenient for you to get your prescriptions filled.
The Medicare Election season that ends December 7th is an opportunity to make sure that you have the right plan for your individual needs as you head into the new year and that your Part D plan will allow you to use your regular pharmacy.
