Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage Plans are a type of Medicare coverage  that bundles many of the Gap, Drug and other Supplemental individual insurance coverage that you may be covered by now or may be examining for yourself. Unlike when you had insurance via your employer and your policy had to cover you and all of your dependents, Medicare covers just you. That means that you can select a plan that covers the medications you actually take and addresses the health needs that are uniquely your own.

Many people enjoy having one comprehensive policy that includes the care provisions that they are most likely to use. For many Retirees, the extra benefits added to Advantage Plans enable them to maintain gym memberships and other health promotion access that you may have been using before your retired.

Identifying the best one for your specific health needs is where Professional Benefit Solutions can help!

Without Dental Insurance, a trip to the dentist can be a very expensive experience. While Dental coverage is not included in your Medicare Plan, you do have the option of purchasing a policy to cover dental care. How does Medicare work?

Medicare Part A, B, D & Gaps

Everyone MUST sign up for Medicare Part A when you turn 65 – whether you are retiring or not. The government gives your 90  days before the first day of your birth month and 90 days after the first day of your birth month to get this done. AND the good news is that it is a quick online process to get your Part A application done.

BUT if you are retiring, You need to think about the rest of the coverage that you need! Medicare Part A covers ONLY the care you receive as an admitted patient in a hospital.

So what about your doctor visits and your medication coverage? That’s where Professional Benefit Solutions can help you select your Part B (outpatient care) and Part D (medication coverage) and other Gap insurance coverages that protect you from co-pays and deductibles.

Why Advantage?

Created by the major insurance companies you already know, Medicare Advantage Plans look a lot like the types of policies you may have had when you were working.

Some are PPOs or MCOs or fee-for-service.

When you were still covered by insurance from your employer you had a “one size fits all” plan. Everyone shared the same benefits for health insurance. Medicare Plans are a little different. They add different benefits and have different drug coverage which are important for you to review before you pick a plan.

For instance, it is important to make sure that the medications you take are covered by the plan and that the plan offers the best network for the care you actually use.

Professional Benefit Solutions will help you review the plans to make sure that you get the best plan to meet your unique needs.
