Whether you have an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) for the fun of off-road riding or a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) to help with chores on your property, these vehicles share the fact that you are not typically able to drive them on the roads.

Despite not driving on roads, there is still open liability for what happens should someone become injured in an accident involving the vehicle or should the vehicle become damaged in an accident.

In addition, many parks and other fun to ride locations do require proof of insurance for ATVs. And, if the ATV or UTV is financed, banks and other lending institutions often require proof of insurance on the vehicle as part of the loan process.

Vandalism, theft, damage from weather and accidents will cover the necessary repairs and replacements and, in the event you are found to be at fault in an accident, it will cover the costs of repair or replacement for any other damaged vehicles.

Similar to car insurance, if you are found to be at fault in an accident, the injuries to other riders will be covered by your insurance.
